Who We Are In The World
Group Therapy is an incredible way to discover more about our self. This is a very confidential and safe environment to get feedback and support for anything we bring into the room.
Who we are in the world is brought into the group experience and recreated. As we get feedback from other group members we learn to use this information in a constructive way. We deal with our own emotions as we hear what our members are saying and we learning to speak on our own behalf in response to what we are hearing.
Group therapy can also be a supportive place to talk about what is going on in our day to day life and what things we may want to shift in order to experience greater serenity within.
I currently offer three different groups. Heart Sessions is process oriented, while 12 Step Exchange is more educational. My Teen group is a blend of both.
EQUINE THERAPY
Equine Therapy is experiential and an actively engaging therapy that can assist in treating substance abuse, eating disorders, behavioral issues, abuse issues, depression, anxiety, relationship problems and stress. Equine Therapy is not about riding, but about doing ground exercises and connecting with the horse.
Horses mirror human emotion and help us to see the forest through the trees. These sessions are worth their weight in gold as they take us out of our usual environments and put us into nature. When we are one with Tunes, we see our story in a much different way as Tunes is able to mirror for us our own feelings in present time. This experience builds confidence, trust, and faith in ourselves.
In Tune With Tunes
We need to tune into ourselves to know where we stand in every situation. This brings clarity. When we lose ourselves in our problems or the stresses and pressures of this world, we begin to tune into the negative influences around us, and we begin to feel lost. By spending time with Tunes, he reminds us how to "Tune" back into the natural part of ourselves. After all, being centered and being calm is the natural way of being. Just by being with Tunes at the barn, we are reminded of how simple life can be and how good that feels. Both Tunes and I help facilitate this time to give a different approach to working on our selves.

Tunes is part of an environment separate from human experiences. He is a perfect example of how to be present within our selves in every moment. By being with Tunes in his environment, we begin to acclimate to the freedom of human problems. Any inner dissonance we have will stand out, and we are left with what we need to deal with in order to be on the same page as Tunes. Simple, present, and centered. By being with Tunes, we "tune" back into ourselves. He helps us find our personal resonance that is more in sync with nature, and a natural way of being in our life. After each session we will walk away with a better sense of how to re-create this same natural clarity in any environment, even if it is full of pressure or human problems.
